Basketball Recap: Trezevant Takes a Loss

Trezevant managed to keep up with Harding Academy until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bears were outmatched by the Lions and fell 56-21. The Bears were down 38-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Leading Harding Academy to victory were Bella Rose Austin and Brynne Miller. Austin dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds, while Miller almost dropped a triple-double with 16 points, 11 boards, and nine steals. That's the most points Austin has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Mia Thompson, who scored nine points.

Trezevant's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Harding Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Trezevant by a score of 40-16 on Monday.
