Wheaton Academy dropped their record down to 3-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 22-0 to the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Fightin' Irish's pitchers proved too tough.

As for Bishop McNamara, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4. Considering they have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Bishop McNamara's part, Teagan McCue was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles McCue has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Burnett, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

While Wheaton Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
