Basketball Recap: New Underwood Piles Up the Points Against Faith

New Underwood was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Faith on Saturday. The New Underwood Tigers took their game with ease, bagging a 75-32 win over the Faith Longhorns. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 29 points or more this season.

New Underwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Enos, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. That's the most rebounds Enos has posted since back in December of 2024. Zeke Enos was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and six boards.

New Underwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

New Underwood pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Faith, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Underwood will take on Jones County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Underwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season. As for Faith, they will challenge Belle Fourche at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
