Volleyball Recap: Bishop Miege Comes Up Short

Bishop Miege was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles. The Stags were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Bishop Miege had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Bishop Miege saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mayley Morrison had ten digs and four assists.

Bishop Miege's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Bishop Carroll, they pushed their record up to 18-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Bishop Miege didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Hayden on the 27th. As for Bishop Carroll, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Maize South on the 27th.
