Softball Recap: Dewitt Clinton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for DeWitt Clinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Irving 17-16 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Governors have posted since May 8, 2024.

The win got DeWitt Clinton back to even at 3-3. As for Irving, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

DeWitt Clinton and Irving will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Governors see the field they'll take on Math Science & Engineering at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Irving, their break will end when they face Lehman at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
