Baseball Game Preview: Reed Raiders vs. Bishop Manogue Miners

Reed is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bishop Manogue Miners at 3:45 p.m.

Reed came up short against Del Oro on Friday, falling 10-4.

Reed got a good showing from Kaden Eaton, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Eaton posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Reed saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Moss, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Luke Brown also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue posted their closest win since May 7, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Windsor 8-6.

Reed now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bishop Manogue, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Reed might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Bishop Manogue in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Reed avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
