Wheaton suffers eighth straight loss on the road

Recap: Wheaton Knights vs. Einstein Titans

The Wheaton Knights are still winless after their contest against the Einstein Titans on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Wheaton fell just short of Einstein by a score of 47-45. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wheaton in their matchups with Einstein: they've now lost six in a row.

Tekli Adhanom continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Einstein, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. The contest was Adhanom's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Tucker , who scored eight points.

Wheaton bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Einstein, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Wheaton will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Blair at 5:30 p.m. on January 8th. As for Einstein, they will take on Kennedy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Kennedy is ranked 159th, while Einstein is ranked 180th).
