Baseball Recap: Murray Comes Up Short

Murray's last matchup with Park City could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Spartans lost 14-8 to the Miners. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Miners: they've now lost four in a row.

Taylor Shelton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Park City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

While Murray had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
