Basketball Recap: Keystone Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Keystone on Saturday. They strolled past the Beaumont School Blue Streaks with points to spare, taking the game 44-25. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Keystone was led to victory by Jayda Gaines and Vivian Cassell. Gaines went 6-for-7 en route to 18 points and six boards, while Cassell posted seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists. That's the most points Gaines has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Callie Crabeels, who earned eight points.

Keystone smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Beaumont School's loss came despite strong showings from Maria Goske and Claire Reavis. Goske scored ten points, while Reavis put up six points and ten boards.

Keystone pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points over those games. As for Beaumont School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Looking ahead, Keystone will take on Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keystone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.6 points per game this season. Beaumont School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
