Softball Game Preview: Daniel Boone Blazers vs. Twin Valley Raiders

For the first time this season, Daniel Boone will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Twin Valley Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Daniel Boone has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Daniel Boone came up short against Cocalico on Friday, falling 16-6. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daniel Boone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Garman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Garman also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Twin Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Penn Manor, sneaking past 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Erin Cromwell spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Daniel Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Twin Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
