Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Charter Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Excelsior Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hesperia Christian Patriots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Excelsior Charter was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hesperia Christian's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-12, 25-20.

Hesperia Christian found their leader in freshman London Arango, who had six digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Arango. Karis Ferguson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Excelsior Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hesperia Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
