Soccer Recap: Russell Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodford County, Russell was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the East Jessamine Jaguars a 6-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Russell needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit East Jessamine with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Barker (2), Sophia Bagby (2), Haley Daniels, and Emma Stamper.

The victory got Russell back to even at 1-1.

Russell wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Menifee County on the 14th. As for East Jessamine, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Lexington Christian on the 16th.
