Volleyball Recap: Canyon del Oro Comes Up Short

Canyon del Oro lost against Buena on April 8th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dorados lost 3-0 to the Colts.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.

Mason Boothe paced Canyon del Oro's offense, picking up six kills. Boothe got some help from Isaac Rivas Dauria and his 12 assists. Elijah Unsworth controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Buena found their leader in sophomore Josiah Canales, who had 11 digs.

Canyon del Oro has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season. As for Buena, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Canyon del Oro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Palo Verde on the 30th. As for Buena, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Sahuaro on the 30th.
