Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the Bethel Bruins, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Tuesday.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Bethel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Heritage will square off against rival Kecoughtan at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hurricanes 2.3, the Warriors 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bethel is set to challenge their familiar foe Denbigh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
