Softball Recap: Salisbury Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Salisbury finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the West Davidson Dragons, falling 22-1. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Salisbury saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Peeler, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Salisbury's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for West Davidson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Salisbury will take on Union Grove Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union Grove Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Salisbury surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Davidson, they will face off against South Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
