Volleyball Game Preview: Clovis Wildcats vs. Hobbs Eagles + How To Watch

The Clovis Wildcats will square off against the Hobbs Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Clovis has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Clovis sidestepped Carlsbad for a 3-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cavemen/Cavegirls: they've now won seven in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-102) Clovis actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 16-25, 25-22, 26-24, 15-9.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hobbs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Roswell on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Coyotes since October 31, 2023.

The win didn't come easy: Roswell scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 26-24.

Hobbs' victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Clovis, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
