Berlin's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Wautoma Hornets 3-2. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Berlin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 17-15.

Lilly Johnson paced Berlin's offense, picking up 12 kills. Johnson got some help from Gwendolyn Bruce-Demuri and her 32 assists. Makenzie Fox and Lakelyn Sobieski kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Berlin's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18. As for Wautoma, they dropped their record down to 16-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Berlin has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Adams-Friendship on the 18th. As for Wautoma, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Ripon on the 18th.
