Basketball Game Preview: Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles vs. Farina South Central Cougars

Brownstown/St. Elmo and Farina South Central are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles will jump right back in to play the Farina South Central Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Brownstown/St. Elmo will be strutting in after a victory while Farina South Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Brownstown/St. Elmo turned things around against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 61-41 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since November 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Farina South Central came up short against Altamont on Wednesday and fell 48-39.

Farina South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Brownstown/St. Elmo strolled past Farina South Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 39-22. Will Brownstown/St. Elmo repeat their success, or does Farina South Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
