Volleyball Recap: Boone Grove Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Boone Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Westville Blackhawks on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won six in a row.

Boone Grove's got stronger as the match went on, holding Westville to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-9.

Pauly McCoy paced Boone Grove's offense, picking up eight kills. McCoy got some help from Max Pollnow and his 20 assists. Pollnow was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Westville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mark Wert, who had ten digs, and Wyatt Oberle, who had 12 assists and three digs.

Boone Grove's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Westville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

The Satellites will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westville, they will take on Valparaiso at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
