Basketball Recap: Paige Grube's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Bend East over North Fond Du Lac

West Bend East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 51-35 bruising from the North Fond du Lac Orioles.

West Bend East's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Grube, who posted 13 points and three steals. Those 13 points gave Grube a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Zier, who had seven points.

West Bend East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for North Fond du Lac, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

West Bend East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-30 loss against West Bend West on the 14th. As for North Fond du Lac, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-23 victory against Mayville on the 14th.
