Volleyball Recap: Lake Orion's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Lake Orion had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Walled Lake Northern Knights on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Izzy Lawhorn paced Lake Orion's offense, picking up eight kills. Lawhorn got some help from Sarah Traynoff and her 13 assists. Traynoff was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lake Orion's record is now 16-20-1. As for Walled Lake Northern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8-1 record this season.

Lake Orion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against South Lyon on the 11th. As for Walled Lake Northern, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Novi on the 11th.
