Softball Recap: Wilcox Takes a Loss

If Wilcox was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Gunn on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell 8-4 to the Milpitas Trojans on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in April.

Wilcox's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Milpitas, they moved to 5-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilcox will challenge Gunn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chargers are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Milpitas, they will take on Capuchino at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
