Volleyball Recap: Kayla Gonzalez and Emily Huerta Secure Win for Lake Cormorant

Lake Cormorant barely beat Alcorn Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lake Cormorant put the hurt on Alcorn Central with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for Lake Cormorant in their matchups with Alcorn Central: they've now won five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-19.

Lake Cormorant was led to victory by Emily Huerta and Kayla Gonzalez. Huerta had 19 digs and two aces, while Gonzalez had five digs and three aces. What's more, Gonzalez racked up 17 assists, the most she's had over her last ten contests.
