It was a good run, but Spring Lake Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eden Prairie Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in May.

Atticus Molitor paced Spring Lake Park's offense, picking up 16 kills. Molitor got some help from Victor Nguyen and his 17 assists. Finally, Hilaal Farah kept Spring Lake Park's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Spring Lake Park's loss dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Eden Prairie, the victory (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Spring Lake Park will face off against Eastview at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eden Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
