Preview: Franklin Christian Academy Falcons vs. Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks

The Franklin Christian Academy Falcons will be home for the holidays to greet the Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Franklin Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-48 loss to Franklin Classical School. While losing is never fun, Franklin Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Franklin Classical School is ranked 74th).
Meanwhile, Merrol Hyde Magnet's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 77-40 loss at the hands of Jo Byrns. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Merrol Hyde Magnet in their matchups with Jo Byrns: they've now lost five in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tucker Smith, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Noah Beloney, who scored 10 points.
Franklin Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Merrol Hyde Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
