Baseball Recap: Bentley Bulldogs vs. Genesee Wolves
In Monday's Canine Competition, Bentley prevailed. They came out on top against the Genesee Wolves by a score of 7-2 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Hunter Trottier was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Bentley is 2-1 when Trottier allows one or fewer hits, but 3-6 otherwise. Trottier was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brady Kagerer was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Logan Workman, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.
Bentley picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 5-7. As for Genesee, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6-1.
Coming up, Bentley will challenge Carman-Ainsworth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Genesee, they will take on Bendle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
