College Prep of America has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Montini Catholic Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. College Prep of America has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 387 points over their last six games.
College Prep of America pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Shepard by a score of 62-60. College Prep of America has struggled against Shepard recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ibrahim Elagha, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hamzah Shouman, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Montini Catholic on the road against Providence-St. Mel on Tuesday as the team secured a 66-17 win. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for Montini Catholic this season.
College Prep of America's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Montini Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-18.
