Softball Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

Burbank's tournament run continued when they took on Artesia on Saturday. Burbank took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Artesia. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burbank saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Cafferty, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Burbank always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Burbank's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Artesia, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Burbank will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maranatha at 3:45 p.m. on the 31st. As for Artesia, they have already played their next match, a 10-7 loss against Katella on the 21st.
