After a string of three wins, Atkinson County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Irwin County Indians, falling 8-0. Considering the last time the Rebels couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Atkinson County suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Irwin County, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Atkinson County will host Lanier County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Atkinson County has given up an average of 3.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Irwin County, they will head out on the road to challenge Echols County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
