Baseball Game Preview: Bayside Bears vs. Merritt Island Mustangs

Bayside hasn't had much luck against Merritt Island recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Bayside's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Merritt Island's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Monday, Bayside came up short against Heritage and fell 6-2.

Alex Brzuchalski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Merritt Island's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Satellite by a score of 5-4.

Joel Terry was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Bayside's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Merritt Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Bayside couldn't quite get it done against Merritt Island when the teams last played back in February of 2021 as they fell 5-1. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
