Basketball Recap: Astronaut Comes Up Short

Astronaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Melbourne Bulldogs, falling 74-41. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 636th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 155th).

Astronaut's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Melbourne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Astronaut will challenge Titusville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Melbourne, they and Timber Creek will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
