Durango faced Green Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trailblazers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Gators. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trailblazers as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Durango walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Tylee Thrasher, who had eight digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five).

Thrasher wasn't the only good servers: Durango was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Durango's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Green Valley, they moved to 16-9 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Durango will head out to face off against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Green Valley, they will take on Silverado at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
