Football Recap: Goodpasture Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 42 points the game before, Goodpasture Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (42-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Chase Angell threw for 34 yards on four of 13 attempts. On the ground, Caden Stroud rushed for 87 yards and one TD.

Among those leading the charge was Jack Nimitz, who threw for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.

Goodpasture Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Franklin Road Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Goodpasture Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Lions' defense has only allowed 7.9 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Franklin Road Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 64-62 loss against Antioch on the 9th.
