Softball Recap: Western Tech & Environmental Science Sets Scoring Season-High Against Parkville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western Tech & Environmental Science). They blew past the Parkville Knights 26-10 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Wolverines as they're now sitting on three straight.

Bailey Allen was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Juliahna Thomas was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.

Western Tech & Environmental Science kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 18 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Western Tech & Environmental Science's record now sits at 5-8. As for Parkville, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Tech & Environmental Science will challenge Lansdowne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Parkville, they will face off against Patapsco at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
