Recap: Shining Light Academy Knights vs. Guilford Home Educators Heat
The Shining Light Academy Knights stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Guilford Home Educators 84-61. Winning may never get old, but Shining Light Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Shining Light Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Adams, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Adams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Alik Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with three steals.
Shining Light Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Guilford Home Educators, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shining Light Academy will face off against South Guilford HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. South Guilford HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 496th, while Shining Light Academy is ranked 170th). As for Guilford Home Educators, they will head out on the road to challenge Chatham HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chatham HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 540 points over their last eight matches.
