Volleyball Recap: KIPP Collegiate Starts Season with Loss at Home

KIPP Collegiate unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix on Monday. The phoenix have struggled against the Phoenix recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-9, 18-25, 25-16, 25-9.

Coming up, KIPP Collegiate is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Memphis Rise Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Trezevant at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Phoenix their first taste of in-conference action this season.
