There's no place like home for The Clovis East Timberwolves, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Clovis on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Clovis East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyus Miller out in front who threw for 382 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per attempt. Miller is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Harold Duvall, who picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Clovis lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deagan Rose. Despite the final result, he rushed for 53 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
Clovis East's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Clovis, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
Clovis East will head out on the road to face off against Buchanan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buchanan is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Clovis, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Clovis West at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Clovis West is ranked 65th, while Clovis is ranked 58th).
