Soccer Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus lost against Warren Central two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Columbus Falcons came up short against the Warren Central Vikings, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Falcons were already down 3-0.

Columbus has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Warren Central, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Warren Central will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Cleveland Central at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
