Volleyball Recap: Kiowa County Find Success

Kiowa County had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a set and slipped past the St. John Tigers 2-1. This was payback for the Mavericks, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Kiowa County got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 14-25, 26-24.

Kiowa County's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for St. John, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Kiowa County will head out on the road to take on Hodgeman County on Tuesday. As for St. John, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Nickerson on the 18th.
