Basketball Recap: Goldendale Comes Up Short

Goldendale lost against Cle Elum-Roslyn back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goldendale Timberwolves had to suffer through a 72-25 loss at the hands of the Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Warriors are ranked 87th).

Goldendale has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Cle Elum-Roslyn, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Goldendale won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Goldendale is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cle Elum-Roslyn, they and Kittitas will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
