Basketball Recap: Santee Comes Up Short

Santee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by St. Francis Indian and fell 86-20. Santee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Francis Indian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Jake Staab was Santee's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Ronald Goodteacher took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with five assists.

Santee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for St. Francis Indian, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Santee will welcome Flandreau Indian at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis Indian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crazy Horse at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
