Volleyball Recap: Berean Academy Starts Season with Win Against Hixson

Berean Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a set and slipped past the Hixson Wildcats 3-2.

Berean Academy was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (112-106), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 14-25, 25-22, 26-24, 18-16.

Hixson's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Berean Academy has already played their next contest (against Hardy Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hixson, they will face off against Ooltewah at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
