Softball Recap: Rock Falls Takes a Loss

Rock Falls was the 4-3 winner over Alleman when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 7-5 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rockets have suffered since April 13, 2024.

Jeslyn Krueger was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Scott, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Rock Falls' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Alleman, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14.

Rock Falls didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 victory against Byron on the 28th. As for Alleman, they have also already played their next match, an 11-1 defeat against Moline on the 29th.
