Soccer Recap: Rock Island Comes Up Short

Rock Island's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Davenport Central Blue Devils by a score of 1-0. Rock Island have struggled against Davenport Central recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Rock Island's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Davenport Central, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Island will head out to square off against Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Island are facing Sterling at the right time seeing as Sterling are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Davenport Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Scott at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Scott will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Davenport Central surely won't give up without a fight.
