Abington Heights' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past West Scranton 17-0. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Avary Brister was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Wilmot, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Abington Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .455 or higher in three consecutive matches.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wallenpaupack Area and North Pocono, and North Pocono kept the tradition alive. The Buckhorns lost 7-1 to the Trojans on Saturday.
Wallenpaupack Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Decker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
Abington Heights pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Abington Heights hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .375. However, it's not like Wallenpaupack Area struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Abington Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Wallenpaupack Area in their previous matchup back in April, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
