Softball Recap: Upper Sandusky Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Upper Sandusky entered their tilt with Seneca East on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Rams have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ella Frombaugh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Frombaugh was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Upper Sandusky got a massive performance out of Madison Hart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Addy Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Upper Sandusky was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seneca East only posted a batting average of .158.

Upper Sandusky's record is now 10-3. As for Seneca East, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.

Coming up, Upper Sandusky will face off against Riverdale at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Seneca East, they will take on Buckeye Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
