Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lewisburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Midd-West Mustangs. Winning may never get old, but the Green Dragons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Landen Wagner, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Lewisburg's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-2 (and 3-7 when he doesn't). Lincoln Ayres was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lewisburg's record now sits at 12-9. As for Midd-West, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
