Basketball Recap: Andover Takes a Loss

After flying high against Forest Lake last Friday, Andover came back down to earth. The Andover Huskies took an 80-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spring Lake Park Panthers. The Huskies lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-52 score last time.

Andover now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Spring Lake Park, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andover will host Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Blaine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Spring Lake Park, they will welcome Totino-Grace at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Lake Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Totino-Grace likes a good challenge.
