Softball Recap: New Dorp Comes Up Short

After flying high against Midwood last Thursday, New Dorp came back down to earth. The Central Cougars came up short against the Tottenville Pirates on Wednesday, falling 10-1. The Central Cougars haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

New Dorp's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tottenville, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, New Dorp will welcome Fort Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Central Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tottenville, they will head out to face off against Xaverian at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
