Thomas Jefferson came tearing into Monday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Moon Area Tigers as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Thomas Jefferson got a great performance from Aubrey Shaffer as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Shaffer has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rylee Nemchek was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Jemma Danko was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Thomas Jefferson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.

Thomas Jefferson's record is now 14-3-1. As for Moon Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Thomas Jefferson will host Belle Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moon Area, they will head out to take on Peters Township at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
